Dr. Abdulhakim Badamasi, a medical doctor at the Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina, has advised people to visit the hospital for regular kidney status check to avoid late detection of kidney related diseases.
Dr. Abdulhakim Badamasi gave the advise in a live phone-in program at Radio Nigeria Companion FM Katsina in Commomoration of World Kidney Day celebation.
According to him World Kidney Day (WKD) is a global health awareness campaign focusing on the importance of the kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney diseases and its associated health problems worldwide.
He stated that World Kidney Day is observed annually on the 2nd Thursday of March every year.
In their contribution during the program Dr. Ashura Abubakar Armaya’u and Dr. Yusuf Bashir spoke on the dangers of Kidney diseases to pediatric and diabetic patients.
