. . .Says ‘we are in PDP to rescue Nigeria‘
… Accuses APC of insensitivity over Katsina guards massacre
Renowned Islamic cleric and one time chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State, Mallam Kabir Daudawa, has pledged his unalloyed commitment to the opposition party, declaring that he will always be available to contribute his quota to rescue the people of Katsina and Nigerians from maladministration of the current government.
Daudawa, who spoke in Musawa on Wednesday during PDP campaign rally, decried what he described as slavery and penury in the land, pointing out that the frustration over Naira crisis and other crises have reached an alarming proportion as even those with money in banks could not make requisite withdrawals to cater for the needs of their families and dependants in challenging conditions.
The cleric, who held sway in Katsina PDP when Umaru Musa Yar’adua was the state governor, expressed confidence that the opposition party would unseat the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in this February and March general polls.
He maintained that PDP was on a rescue mission to save Nigeria and Nigerians, calling on youths and women to join the party in order to save the country from the current socio – economic chaos.
According to him, the efforts to rescue the nation from the ongoing misrule and maladministration remained an obligation of all patriots in the country.
Daudawa condemned the APC presidential campaign rally in the state capital, Katsina, last Monday as insensitive after last Thursday’s massacre of scores of local guards from several communities in pursuit of terrorists that had made life unbearable for many in the land and beyond.
He called on well meaning Nigerians to sacrifice their time, energy and resources to defeat, what he described as highhandedness of the present government.
