Katsina state government has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring the proper take-off of the college of Medical sciences of Ummaru Musa Yaradua University, (UMYU) Katsina.
The commissioner for higher technical and vocational education Alh Isah Muhammad Musa disclosed this while inspecting the ongoing Hostels and wall fence construction at the college permanent site adjacent to Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina.
Alh Isah Musa revealed that the state government has directed the contractor handling the project to speed up as any moment the state will receive the team of National Universities Commission NUC for the college’s full accreditation exercise.
The commissioner who expressed appreciation to the state government for itsintention to reposition the health sector, charged parents to ensure their children are going to schools so as to have the students to occupy the vacancies in the college of health Sciences.
Meanwhile, the commissioner has supervised the conduct of an aptitude test organised by the katsina institute of technology and management for the recruitment of Academic staff.
Alh Isah Musa who applauded the orderliness of the candidates and the arrangements made by the institute prayed for the successful and hitch-free recruitment exercise.
