The Katsina state Police Commissioner, Aliyu Musa on Monday decorated one hundred and eighty-one (181) newly promoted officers with their new ranks in a ceremony held at the Command Headquarters.
Among those decorated was the police command spokesman, DSP Aliyu Abubakar.
In his remarks, the CP expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness the special day.
He also thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, and the Chairman Police Service Commission (PSC) for finding the officers worthy of promotion.
The CP, while congratulating the newly promoted officers on their well-deserved promotion, charged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, integrity and transparency in the course of their duties. He further called on friends and families of the promotees to continue supporting the officers in the discharge of their duties.
While delivering a vote of thanks on behalf of all the promotees, ACP Aminu Abdulkarim appreciated the Inspector General of Police and the Chairman Police Service Commission for finding the officers worthy of the promotion and promised to give their best in serving the nation.
He further expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for his support and mentorship, which had been instrumental in their career growth.
The ceremony witnessed in attendance senior police officers, family members, and friends of the promotees.
