The Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists Katsina State Council, Comrade Tukur Hassan Dan-Ali, says the Union will give maximum support to sports writers association of Nigeria Katsina State Chapter.
Comrade Tukur Dan-Ali stated this during the swearing in of the new executive members of SWAN Katsina State Chapter held at the conference Hall of the NUJ Secretariat.
The State Chairman NUJ acknowledged the contribution given by SWAN in sporting activities in the state.
Speaking at the occasion the National Ex-Officio SWAN, Malam Lurwanu Idris Malikawa appreciated the contribution given by Katsina Sports Writers Association SWAN to the National body of the Association.
Malam Lirwanu Malikawa, assured that the National Body of SWAN will continue supporting Katsina Chapter of the Association to greater heights.
Earlier the Chairman Electoral Committee, Malam Abdullahi Tanko, spoke in details on the election procedures.
Those sworn-in includes Nasiru Sani Gide – Chairman, Muhammad Habib – Vice Chairman, Comrade Aminu Musa Bukar – Secretary and Aliyu Rufa’i – Financial Secretary.
Others are Haruna Yusuf Abdullahi – Welfare Officer, Abubakar Nuhu – Assistant Secretary, Aminu Tanimu – Auditor, and Abidu Yunusa – Treasurer of the Association.
In his acceptance speech, the Newly sworn in Chairman of SWAN who was elected for the second time, Nasiru Sani Gide promised to operate an open door policy in his leadership role.
Others that spoke at the event includes, Chairman YSFON, Alhaji Aminu Wali, Secretary Katsina United, Malam Mas’udu Suleiman, and Representatives of Director Sports Yusuf Lawal among others.
