Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill of over 698 billion naira for the services of the state government and 184 billion naira for the services of the 27 local government councils into law.
This followed the presentation and adoption of the report of House Standing Committee on Appropriation.
Presenting the report, the Chairman of the Committee who is the member representing Malam Madori Constituency, Alhaji Hamza Adamu Ibrahim noted that all the standing committees of the House have assessed the budgetary provisions of each ministry and agency for possible adjustment or addition in the budget content.
According to him, the committees have also with various stakeholders including civil society organization as well as carried out validation exercise in the effort to arrived at a comprehensive budget document for presentation to the plenary session.
After unanimous consent through voting, the Speaker of the House, Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin announced the passage of the 2025 Appropriation Bill into Law.
