Students to Acquire Entrepreneurial Skills Before Graduation In All Katsina Tertiary Institutions

Katsina state government has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring skills acquisitions are taught across its tertiary institutions.

The commissioner for Higher Technical and Vocational Education, Alh Isah Muhammad Musa disclosed this while inspecting an entrepreneur centre at Umaru Musa Yaradua University Katsina.

Alh Isah Musa maintained that the ministry deemed it fit to encourage higher institutions of learning in the state to consolidate entrepreneurship among the students so as to produce future employers of labour.

The commissioner who expressed appreciation to the university for securing the facilities in the centre, urged them to ensure all students undergoes skills acquisition before graduation.

He also revealed that the Administration of Dr Dikko Radda has attached priorities to small and medium enterprises hence the need for the higher institutions of the state to set the pace for others organisations to emulate.

The vice chancellor of the university Professor Shehu Salihu Muhammad who took the delegation round the facilities said the university has made adequate preparations to ensure all students benefit from the working tools provided in the centre for skills acquisition.

The vice chancellor also assured that the university has arranged with capable instructors to effectively man the centre for the benefit of generation of students thereby graduating a dual purpose manpower to the state and the country at large.
