Communities in Funtua Senatorial District of Katsina State have shown unshakable loyalty to Governor Dikko Umar Radda for the political and leadership sagacity he is demonstrating since he assumed office as the governor of Katsina State on May 29, 2023.
Apart from infrastructural projects he is providing in the area, there are practical examples that his government is being felt by the residents of the area.
Funtua Senatorial District, popularly known as Karaduwa comprises 11 local government areas spanning Matazu, Musawa, Malumfashi, Kafur, Kankara, Bakori, Danja, Funtua, Faskari, Dandume and Sabuwa.
Currently, the Senatorial District is boosted with key political appointments such as the Deputy Governor Mal Farouk Lawal Jobe, the Secretary to the Government of the State Dr Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Chief of Staff, Hon Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir.
There are also several commissioners manning key ministries such as Alh Bello Kagara of the Ministry of Finance, Prof Ahmed Bakori, Ministry of Agriculture, Hon Hamza Sule Faskari, Ministry of Environment, Hon Musa Adamu Funtua Ministry of Health, Hon Malik Anas Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and several special advisers and assistants as well as various heads of agencies and departments
It was in recognition of the above, the representatives of communities in the Senatorial District visited Governor Dikko Radda at the Muhammadu Bihari House, the seat of Katsina State Government to say thank you for honour done to them and promised to reciprocate the gesture by giving support and cooperation to his policies and programmes of building the future of Katsina State.
The delegation consisted political appointees, politicians, the business class, traditional and community leaders, the clergy, women and youth groups.
