Criminals suspected to be terrorists have kidnapped a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Major General Mahrazu Tsiga (retired), along with two other residents in his hometown Tsiga, Katsina State.
According to reports, the armed criminals invaded the former DG’s hometown, Tsiga, in Kankara Local Government Area on Wednesday night and went directly to General Mahrazu’s residence and abducted him along with two others.
Katsina State Police Command spokesperson DSP Aliyu Abubakar, when contacted told reporters that he had yet to be briefed about the incident.
“I am yet to be briefed on the facts of the reports. I’ll get back to you as soon as I get the details, please,” he said on Thursday morning.
There has been series of attack in that axis lately showing that there’s still lots to be done in Katsina state as far as security is concerned.
People living outside Katsina town are living in fear of no one knows who or where is next to be attacked by these faceless criminals.
Meanwhile, no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction or call to request for ransom.
