Katsina state government has awarded the contract for the construction of perimeter fence at the Ummaru Musa Yaradua University Medical Schools located opposite Federal teaching Hospital Katsina.
The commissioner of higher technical and vocational education Alh Isah Muhammad Musa disclosed this while inspecting the project site along with the project contractors.
ALH Isah Musa revealed that the project execution was in compliance with the National University Commissions’ guidelines which stipulates safeguarding the Medical Schools for conducive atmosphere of learning.
The commissioner Explained that the perimeter fence which aimed to secure learners and the facilities provided would have two gates entrance for free flow movement in and outside the medical school.
He stressed that the project awarded was in line with the state governor Dr Dikko Radda’s benevolence to reposition Health sector thereby improing healthcare delivery across the state and by extension the country at large.
However, Alh Isah Musa admonished the host communities to safeguard the project and report any vandal activities to the security agencies for further action.
The event had in attendance the Director Works, Ummaru Musa Yaradua university Dr Engineer Lawal Salisu, representative of Medical School as well as the project contractor among others.
