Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Director General, Alhaji Lamin Danbappa, has called on all intending pilgrims in the state to ensure the completion of their Hajj deposit.
Clarifying the reason for the call, he explained that the annual Hajj pilgrimage (Hajj Ibadat) is a fixed religious obligation that cannot be deferred under any circumstances.
In a press statement by Danbappa made available to newsmen at the end of a one-hour programme aired on Rahama Radio in Kano on Monday, he emphasised the importance of adhering to the prescribed timeline for the sacred pilgrimage.
He therefore urged all intending pilgrims to ensure completion of the payment of their Hajj seat deposit before the expiration of the deadline to secure their slots for this year’s pilgrimage.
In his own words, he said, “Timely payment is essential for effective planning and preparation toward ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
“Hajj is a divinely ordained obligation for every capable Muslim, and its schedule is immovable. We therefore call on all intending pilgrims to comply with the prompt settlement of their deposits.”
