The Emir of Daura Alhaji Dr. Umar Faruk Umar has acknowledged the commitment of the State Committee on Food Nutrition in fighting malnutrition in the state.
Alhaji Dr. Umar Faruk made the acknowledgement when members of the committee paid him homemage in his palace led by Commissioner Budget and Economic Planning Alhaji Bello Hussani Kagara to inform the emir on the activities of the committee and seek for fatherly advice.
The Emir informed the members of the committee that his palace welcome everything that will bring development to his subject and urged them to continue fighting malnutrition among children.
The Emir assured the committee members, he will informed the state government under the leadership of Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda, on the activities of the committee towards addressing malnutrition in the state.
Earlier the Chairman of the Committee, who is the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Ibrahim Muazu Safana, represented by the State Project Coordinator Fadama Alhaji Muhammad Bello Bello inform the Emir they were at the palace to inform him on the activities of the committee.
The Chairman of the committee used the opportunity to seek for emir’s support showing some pictures of the effects of malnutrition on some affected children in the state.
Also Speaking, the Secretary of the committee who is the Director Planning in the Ministry Alhaiji Sa’idu Danrimi, spoke in details on the activities of the committee in fighting malnutrition among children in the state.
The Committee displayed pictures of malnourished children using projector during the visit.
