If he sees an NYSC Member he remembers General Yakubu Gowon (Rtd) whose regime established the NYSC in 1973. He said Gowon ‘s slogan for the unity of this country still rings bell in his head “To keep Nigeria One is a task that must be done ‘..’.One Nigeria”

The Emir called on all Nigerians to see the NYSC Member as a Child of necessity, an Orphan who has no mother, no Father, no brother no Sister in the place he finds himself.
He said the NYSC Member should be seen as a Child that needs assistance, he should be seen as a child that needs protection, guidance and comfort.
He said The NYSC member should not be seen as vulnerable for exploitation and molestation, they should be provided with shelter, food and everything that will make them comfortable in any place they found themselves.
