Katsina State Chapter of sports writers association of Nigeria SWAN has assured readiness to collaborate with the office of Adolescence Girls Education AGILE Katsina office in promoting sporting activities in schools.
The association chairman Nasir Sani Gide gave the assurance when he led other members of the association on a courtesy visit to the state coordinator AGILE Dr Mustapha Shehu in his office.
The SWAN Chairman noted with appreciation the numbers of sporting facilities renovated by AGILE in many primary and secondary schools in the state.
Nasir Gide acknowledged the foresight of AGILE in reviving schools sporting activities nothing that this will greatly assist the students to discover their talent.
The State coordinator Dr Mustapha Shehu stated that AGILE in Katsina State has renovate and upgrade over 300 handball and basketball pitches in various schools.
Dr Mustapha Shehu restated commitment to continue renovating sporting facilities with the aim at creating enabling environment for the students to participate in sports.
The coordinator noted that inter schools competition will commence as soon as possible. The collaboration with the SWAN will assist in giving wider publicity to reach out to the public.
