Ahead of both the presidential and gubernatorial elections, the campaign trains of Katsina State chapters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have continued to criss cross the state jostling for the backing of electorate for their flag bearers.

The APC is seeking among others the number – one seats in Nigeria and the state for a third consecutive term, having won the plum seats twice in 2015 and 2019.

Latest updates showed that the ruling APC and its arch – rival, the PDP remained the front runners in the 2023 race, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) appeared to be lightweight.

As the campaign tour to pave the way for APC candidates berths in Kankara Local Government Area, home council area of Faruk Lawal Jobe, the running mate of party’s gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, there are strong indications that the ruling party is determined to garner as much support as possible from the people, who are also the kith and kin of the PDP governorship candidate, Sent. Yakubu Lado.

KATSINA MIRROR gathered that to ensure that the table turns in Kankara in favour of APC, both Alhaji Faruk Jobe and the member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Murtala Isah, would donate campaign offices and vehicles today to facilitate the mobilization of the residents of  the area and the state.

The donation is slated for Kankara as part of this day’s activities during the Dikko / Jobe Campaign Tour. The itinerary of the train showed it would arrive in Kukasheka ward around 8am and proceeds to Burdugu, Danmaidaki, Garagi, Wawar – Kaza, Pauwa  A and B, Ketare and Kankara among other wards.
