Arrangements are in top gear for the commencement of President Muhammadu Buhari Soccer tournament in Daura Senatorial Zone.
The Chairman Organizing committee of the competition Alh Sani Abu Dauda Daura disclosed this when he led other members of the committee on a visit to the former president residence in Daura town.
Alh Sani Abu Daura noted that the visit was meant to brief the former president on the achievement recorded since the start of the competition.
According to the committee chairman, the competition is assisting greatly in lowering youths against engaging in drugs abuse, stealing, thuggery and other social vices.
He used the visit to commend the former president Muhammadu Buhari for sponsoring the competition financially and morally.
This year’s tournament design to hold in two centers to include Daura and Kankia will be participated by 45 football teams drawn from the 11 local governments areas of the zone.
Also speaking, Dan’madamin Daura Alh Musa Haro acknowledged the foresight of the competition organisers for supporting youths in the zone to embrace sporting activities as the source of income.
During the visit, a trophy, medals, awards best player and goal scorer were presented to the former president in preparation ahead of the forthcoming soccer tournament.
The competition will kick start in two weeks time at both centers provided.
