United Nations Children Education Fund UNICEF has pledged to provide technical support to the Jigawa state Government to sustain the achievements recorded in the areas of their collaboration.
The Country representative of UNICEF, Mrs Christian Munduate made the pledge during a courtesy visit to Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House Dutse.
She said they were in the state to hand over twelve thousand four hundred and four cartons of Ready to use therapuatic food as well as discuss on other areas of collaboration.
Mrs Munduate further explained that over thirteen thousand children are expected to benefit the RUTF across the state.
She said, the fund appreciated the commitment of the state Government in the areas of malnutrition, Health, basic Education, social protection, water sanitation and Hygiene among others.
Also Speaking, Governor Umar Namadi explained that the state Government will this week sign into law a bill amended by the state Assembly for the establishment of modern Tsangaya schools as part of effort to address the out of school children syndrome.
Namadi further explained that, the state government has lined up a number of policies to improve the wellbeing of pregnant women and children as well as providing access to health care services for the vulnerable group in the society.
