Draws for the Maiden Unity Football Competition Conducted in Katsina

DRAWS FOR THE MAIDEN CHIEF OF DEFENSE STAFF GEN CHRISTOPHER GWABIN MUSA PEACE AND UNITY FOOTBALL COMPETITION HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED IN KATSINA.

All arrangements are on top gear for the conduct of the first edition of the Chief of defense staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa peace and Unity soccer tournament within the Katsina metropolis.

The competition coordinator Mal Lawal Ibrahim BK disclosed this during the draws for the commencement of the football competition held at the conference hall of Katsina township stadium.

According to the competition organiser, the football tournament is organized with the view to Foster peace and Unity among the teeming youths in katsina State.

Mal Lawal Ibrahim BK noted that the football tournament is also organized to honor the Chief of defense staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa whose aim was to ensure peaceful coexistence from across the nation and Katsina State in particular.

The soccer tournament which is the knockout type is designed to accommodate 32 football teams that registered free of charge.

Based on the competition rules, the first sixteen teams to be eliminated in the round of 16 will be given a pair of ball while the remaining 16 teams will receive sets of jerseys.

At the completion of the tournament, the winners will go home with a trophy and the sum of #150,000 naira, runners up will receive #100,000 as well as #70,000 naira for the 3rd place.
