Operatives of Katsina state police command have rescued a 75- year old kidnapped woman .
The woman, Hauwau Adamu of kahutu village, Danja local government area of the state was kidnapped early friday morning.
The police disclosed that upon getting the information about the incident, its operatives at Danja Divisional police headquarters, swang into action which led to her rescue and the arrest of the two suspects.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu on the incident on friday confirmed the incident.
It reads “Today, Friday, 28 June, 2024, at about 1.30 a.m, an information was received at the Danja Divisional Police Headquarters, that some suspected kidnappers silently invaded the residence of one Hauwa’u Adamu, f, age 75 years, of Kahutu village, Danja Local Governmenment Area, Katsina State and kidnapped her.
“Upon receipt of the report, promptly, the DPO Danja led a team of operatives to the scene with a view to arresting the culprits and unhurt rescue of the victim.
“During investigation, two (2) suspects were arrested for questioning. Further development will be communicated in due course as the investigation proceeds.”
