Similarly, the Amadu Na Funtua Township Stadium in Katsina metropolis which is now under reconstruction and upgrading, will be completed.
Commissioner of Sports and Youths Aliyu Lawal Zakari Shargalle confirmed this while addressing newsmen on the outcome of the familiarization tour of all sporting activities in the state.
Aliyu Lawal Shargalle, Special Adviser on Youth Development Aminu Lawal Malumfashi, Director of Sports Council, and other sports ministry directors were present for the appraisal of the two athletic facilities.
The Sports Commissioner stated that the ministry’s travel was approved by the state governor, Mal Dikko Umar Radda.

He noted that the construction of new facilities within the stadiums will provide opportunities for our aspiring athletes to compete with others in Nigeria and around the world.
Volleyball, handball, and basketball pitches, as well as an athletic running track, will be constructed.
The Commissioner guaranteed preparedness to build a suitable facility that will last longer in the overall development of the sporting activities.
He used the briefing to praise the hardwork and dedication of the state governor in encouraging sporting activities from across the state.
