No fewer than 3,889 teachers recruited by Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) shortly before the inception of the present administration in the state are to face the same recruitment examinations with about 7000 prospective teachers.
Katsina Deputy Governor, Farouk Lawal Jobe, made this disclosure while inaugurating the committee to conduct the tests for both primary and secondary schools teachers.
Mal. Jobe said the hurriedly recruited teachers and the applicants shortlisted under the state government’s S – Power Programme would undergo the tests to ensure that only competent and qualified candidates would be absorbed into the service.
According to him, the recruitment processes would be conducted for 5000 NCE/Diploma holders teaching in Primary schools and 2000 graduates S power secondary school teachers.
Earlier, the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Arch. Ahmad Musa Dangiwa, who charged members of the committee to be fair and just in the discharge of their assigned duties said the committee has four weeks to submit its report.
The members of the committee, which has Dr Sabi’u Ɗahiru as chairman and Lurwanu Haruna Gona as Secretary include
Shamsuddeen Sani, Dr. Isah Idris Zakari and Mannir Ayuba, Sullubawa Shehu, Abdullahi Muhammad and Zakariya’u Musa Doka.
