The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Radda, has been declared winner of this weekend’s governorship election in the state.
He polled 859,896 votes to defeat his arch-rival, Sen. Yakubu Lado, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 486,620 votes. According to the Returning Officer of the poll, Prof. Muazu Abubakar, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Gusau, the governorship flag bearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Nura Khalil polled 8263 votes to beat Imran Jaafar Juno of the Peoples Redemption party (PRP) with 4226 votes to the third position in the election.
