The Katsina State Police Command on Thursday (3, April, 2025) carried out a sanitation exercise at the Central Market, Katsina, as part of the maiden annual Police Day celebration.
The exercise, which was led by the Commissioner of Police, Katsina Command, was aimed at promoting a clean and healthy environment, as well as fostering a sense of community and cooperation between the police and the public.
The sanitation exercise was carried out by police personnel, including officers and men, who were joined by traders, artisans, and other members of the community. Together, they cleared trash, swept the market area, and generally improved the aesthetic appeal of the market.
The Commissioner of Police, while addressing the participants after the exercise, commended the traders, artisans, and other members of the community for their active participation and support.
He noted that the exercise was a demonstration of the police’s commitment to serving and partnering with the community.
The Ploice Commissioner declared “This sanitation exercise is just one of the many activities we have planned for our Police Day celebration,”.
“We are committed to making a positive impact in our community, and we are grateful for the support and cooperation of the good people of Katsina.”
