According to Engineer Abba Abbas Masanawa, in view of the number of people carrying out their businesses along Sabuwar Tasha Round About to Steel Rolling Mill Junction, the appeal became necessary so as not to deny them an enabling environment to earn a means of livelihood.
Engineer Abba Abbas explained that there are so many people conducting legitimate businesses along that axis and have been contributing immensely towards providing employment to youths in the area.
Also, one Malam Halilu Umar stated that the members of the association have their shops and lands certificate of occupancy for close to twenty years hence the need for the state governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda to intervene over the planned eviction and help stop the planned demolition.
Commenting on the issues, Alhaji Umar Yusuf Tsauri said the eviction and demolition will leave these business owners jobless thereby increasing poverty which the renewed hope agenda of the state government is trying to eradicate.
Moreover, they suggested that goverment can also provide an alternative place for them to trade if it cannot stop the eviction and the demolition planned by the State Urban and Regional Planning Board.
