A medical expert from Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina, Dr. Sadiq Mai-Shanu has advised people to always consider proper medical checkups, especially on the status of their Kidneys.
Dr. Sadiq Mai-Shanu gave the advise in a live phone-in program at Radio Nigeria Companion FM Katsina, monitored by KatsinaMirror, in continuation of the activities marking the World Kidney Day Celebration.
Dr. MaiShanu spoke on the symptoms associated with kidney problems especially in Adults and sometimes in children.
The medical expert highlighted the symptoms, which include infections that affect kidneys, that could eventually lead to kidney problems in the future, which includes excessive urination, urinating with traces of blood in the urine, as well as the inability to urinate among others.
In his contribution during the programme, a Pediatric Consultant Dr. Ibrahim Ayuba, explained in details, the effects of the disease in children and ways to avoid it.
They both called on the general public to visit hospitals when ever they observed such symptoms, so as to cure the Kidney before it deteriorates.
