The Executive Director of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama, held a meeting today with his directors, the Board Chairman, and other members of the board.

The statement said the meeting is part of the preparations for the upcoming Hajj Exercise.
In his welcome address at the meeting, the Board Chairman, Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai represented by one of the board members, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Radda, wished them well and urged them to work together to achieve success in the upcoming Hajj operation, just as they did last year.
Briefing the board members on the preparations made by the Board and the progress so far recorded, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama, provided detailed information on the registration of pilgrims and the collection of Hajj fares for this year.
He stated that the Board has received the Allocation of 3,680 Hajj seat from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria and currently registered approximately 1,850 pilgrims who have paid for the Hajj fares.
The Executive Director also informed the board members on the outcome of their meeting convened by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), last week which specifically focused on airlift, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria approved Max Air airline limited to transport pilgrims from Katsina state.
On the issue of airlift schedule, He said Katsina State pilgrims will be the last batch to be transported to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Yunusa Dankama expressed gratitude to Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD for his support and cooperation in facilitating the success of the board’s activities.
