Police Commences Investigation Into The Murder Of MACBAN Chairman In Kwara

Kwara State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the murder of Alhaji Idris Abubakar, the state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) .

In a statement the command Public Relations officer, SP Adetoun Ejire -Adeyemi says the chairman was shot dead on 8th March 2025 at the entrance of his residence in Oke -Ose, area of Ilorin.

According to the statement Police detectives had responded swiftly and recovered five expended 7.62mm shells at the scene of the incident .

It explains that the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has commenced a full investigation into the case.

It assures that the perpetrators will be brought to justice and urges the public to remain calm and provide useful information to the police.

Meanwhile, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter, has expressed shock over the murder of the chairman, Alhaji Idris Abubakar Sakaina, who was killed by unknown gunmen yesterday at his oke -ose resident at about 10pm .

In a statement the Fulani leader (Ardon Ardodi) in Kwara state, Alhaji Ojonla Mahmud which was signed by the state secretary of MACBAN, AbdulAzeez Muhammed urged the security agencies to quickly track down the runaway assailants and ensure they face Justice.

The statement appealed to the state government to assist the family of the deceased in the provision of quality education for the children and better Welfare.

It says the remains of the deceased has been buried at zango in Ilorin.
