Katsina state government has reiterated its commitment towards repositioning the education sector and assures the proper take off of the college of Medical sciences of Ummaru Musa Yaradua University, Katsina.
The Commissioner for Higher Technical and Vocational Education, Alh Isah Muhammad Musa, disclosed this while inspecting the ongoing construction of hostels and wall fence at the college as well as the construction of female hostels at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic.
Alh Isah Musa revealed that the state government led by Dikko Umar Radda has attached priorities to students and teachers wellbeing, hence the need to create conducive atmosphere of learning through construction of world class hostels for students of the state.
The commissioner who expressed appreciation for the levels the project reached, expressed confidence that the state government will meet the standards of National Universities Commission for the proper take off of the College of Medical Science of the University.
On construction of new hostels for female students of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, the commissioner assured that the efforts would attract more female students to join the institution with expectations of having secured environment.
Alh Isah Musa encouraged the benefitting students to utilize the facilities judiciously for their educational development.
He also admonished all stakeholders to ensure safeguard of the edifice for future generations.
