President Bola Tinubu has named Dr. Badamasi Lawal as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
The Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen Christopher Musa, after an emergency security session with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa stated that protesters seen flying the Russian flags in parts of Kano and Kaduna states committed treason, as they suggested that the military should step into the current protests rocking the country.
Due to the current security concerns in light of the nationwide protests turning violent in some parts of the state, the Katsina State Police Command has commenced enforcement of the Katsina State Government imposed 24-hour curfew in Dutsinma Local Government Area (LGA) while a 7pm to 7am curfew in the rest of the Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state and banned all form of protest in the state, effective immediately.
