Katsina State Government through the Ministry of Women Affairs has empowered 6,100 women across the 34 local government areas in the State.
The State Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Yar’adua made this known during the round off ceremony of the empowerment in Funtua Zone, Katsina recently.
She noted that 150 women were selected from each local government in the area.
According to Hajiya Hadiza, this significant achievement is in line with Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s commitment to economic inclusion and gender advancement.
Hadiza stated that each beneficiary received a comprehensive empowerment package consisting 12.5kh of flour and a noodle-making machine.
“This initiative is strategically designed to provide both immediate nutritional support and a sustainable entrepreneurial opportunity for our women,” she added.
Hadiza furthered that this targeted intervention reflects Governor Radda’s innovative approach to social welfare, focusing on equipping women with practical skills and resources to enhance their economic independence.
