Katsina Police Command Parades 4 Suspects Working for Bandits

Katsina State Police Command paraded one Aminu Hassan, 25, of Dundubus, Danja Local Government Area, and three other suspects for supplying bandits terrorising Danmusa LGA and its environs with military uniforms.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Nigerian Police said that Hassan was apprehended on 19 November 2024, at about 1pm, during a routine patrol along the Yantumaki-Kankara highway in Danmusa LGA. 

Two pairs of military uniforms neatly concealed in a black polythene bag was found in his possession during the search according to the police.

The statement reads, “The suspect, was arrested on November 19th, 2024, at about 1300hrs, Danmusa LGA, Katsina State, by operatives of the command during a routine patrol along Yantumaki and Kankara highway, in possession of two pairs of military uniform neatly concealed in a black polythene bag.

“The suspect has been aiding bandits terrorising Danmusa LGA and its environs.

“During investigation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.”

The police explained that the suspects had reportedly confessed to the crime.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating criminal activities and ensuring security across Katsina State.
