President Tinubu To Attend Labour Institute Summit In Kwara

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is among important dignitaries expected to attend the Michael Imoudu National Institute For Labour Studies (MINILS) summit to delibrate on employment issue and promote industrial harmony in the country.

The Director General of the labour Institute, Comrade Issa Aremu state this while briefing newsmen on the 10th National Industrial Labour Relations Summit and Award Ceremony, themed “The Future of Work and Renewed Hope Agenda , Issues and Perspectives” in Ilọrin, Kwara state.

The Director General who was represented by the Director of Social Protection Department, Mrs Ajiboye Olaide said award would be given to labour friendly governor’s and employers of labour.

According to him the summit would serve as an avenue to delibrate on employment issues with the main objective of promoting productivity, decent work environment and social justice in work place.

Aremu explained that the event would provide a platform for the President, governors, employers of labour and labour market Institutions to reflect on government labour agenda with respect to job creation.

He noted that the essence of the summit is to educate all stake holders on the importance of coming together to dialogue and consult to achieve industrial peace.

The Director General maintained that industrial Harmony would enhance productivity and boost the economy of the country.

He said the Institute has to a large extent achieve its mandate of promoting industrial harmony in the world of work through regular education to workers, employers and government officials.

Aremu said hundreds of participants drawn from organised labour, employers of labour, youth, people with disabilities and students among others would be part of the historic summit.
