Nigerian and African policy makers have been urged to redouble efforts to review education system to enable it preserve culture, address climate change, as well as promote regeneration.
Spokesman of Prikkle academy, Adam Abdulraheem made the call while briefing newsmen during a retreat, tagged ‘Afrikan Ecoversities Regional Gathering 2024’ held in Afon, Kwara state.
He said the idea of the review is to foster transformative learning spaces and innovative education systems that is grounded in local knowledge and community-driven solutions.
According to him participants were drawn from across Africa, including representatives from Benin Republic, Kenya, Rwanda, as well as Nigerian states to engaged in discussions on critical themes related to reimagining education.
Abdulraheem emphasized that the gathering will assist in providing insights into local heritage in order to boost education.
