President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria on Saturday October 19, 2024 after spending 14 working days outside the shores of Nigeria. He departed Nigeria October 2.
He arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja in the evening of Saturday after his working leave.
“The eagle has landed,” presidential aide Dada Olusegun wrote on his X account on Saturday. “Welcome home, Mr President.”
The President was welcomed by a team of government officials, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; his Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu among others.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, he noted that the vacation was part of the President’s annual leave.
