The Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in Katsina State is calling Governor Dikko Umar Radda to as a matter of urgent attention intervene in the difficulties being faced by patients accessing healthcare services at the Secondary Health facilities in the state due to Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) system failure resulting in undue delay of patients.

This is contained in a press statement signed by the Coalition Chairman, Malam Abdul Rahman Abdullahi Dutsinma, made available exclusively to Katsina Mirror.

While acknowledging the importance of the EHR in the modern day Healthcare services, and appreciating the government for deploying the system, the Coalition observed that the infrastructure is causing serious difficulties with delay in accessing care by patients thereby subjecting them to untold hardships.

It is on this background that the Coalition wishes to recommend for the health facilities system network upgrade and restructuring to work offline especially when there is no network so that all entries can be uploaded synchronously later when the network resumes.

This will promote faster and easier access to services bringing to an end the suffering being faced by patients on daily basis at these health facilities.
