Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State has called on Nigerians to deepen their prayers for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
The Governor, who said this in a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, to mark the 64th independence anniversary of Nigeria, maintained that the nation is indeed going through a difficult time at the moment.
Governor Umar Bago acknowledges the prevailing hardship, orchestrated by several factors, and encourages the people to strengthen their faith in God as government at all levels are making frantic efforts to ameliorate their sufferings and stabilise the economy.
According to him “the challenges may be enormous, but they are however surmountable, stressing that there would be light at the end of the tunnel by the grace of God”.
Alh Umar Bago also enjoined Nigerians not to focus on the negativity alone, but to reflect on God’s mercies favours and be thankful to Him for keeping the nation as one entity despite the challenges confronting us as a nation.
The Governor also reminded Nigerians that a united Nigeria is better and more beneficial for all and this the need to be more committed to the ideals of Nigeria.
While congratulating Nigerians on the 64th anniversary of nationhood, Governor Bago also appealed to all to remain resolute, law-abiding, passionate and supportive to government at all levels in the task of nation-building which he said is a collective responsibility.
He further reassured Nigerlites that his administration is determined and working tirelessly to ensure lives and livelihoods are secured and that the New Niger agenda is achieved for the benefit of all.
