The NYSC Katsina State led by the incumbent State Coordinator Alhaji Ibrahim SAIDU on Thursday, 26,September, 2024 ,stormed Dandagoro Community under Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State for the 2024 HIRD Second Quarter.
The NYSC Corps Doctors and para medicals armed with drugs worth more than N1.5 million sourced from well meaning individuals and pharmaciutical companies in Katsina as well as Katsina State ministry of health, during the programme, carried out treatment of the sick rural dwellers who for one reason or another could not access the medical facility in the township centre, attended to over 2000 villagers majority of whom were the Elderly, Women and Children.
The Village head of Dandagoro Alhaji Muttaka Magaji with his subjects were filled with joy and happiness as they mobilized their people for the programme
The NYSC Katsina State Coordinator Alhaji Ibrahim SAIDU enjoined the people to continue with their good will to Corps Members serving in their localities.
He told them that sponsoring Corps Members’ projects and other gestures to accommodate and comfort Corps Members posted to their localities will attract similar programmes from the NYSC.
Alhaji SAIDU called on the other Local Government Chairmen in the State to emulate the Chairman and good people of Batagarawa local government area so as to attract NYSC programmes that can benefit their people
Alhaji SAIDU further explained that the HIRD is one of the initiatives of the current Director General of NYSC Brig Gen YD Ahmed of the NYSC in discharging it’s mandate in improving the lives of Nigerians by providing free health care services to people living in rural areas .
The Coordinator used the opportunity to thank the Director General for approving the programme.
The Chairman Batagarawa LGA, Bala Garba Sani thanked the NYSC management and the Director General for chosing his local government area for the programme .
He promised to continue to accommodate as many Corps Members that would be sent to the Local government and take adequate care of them
The Chairman added that Batagarawa LGA was always supporting and sponsoring project execution for Corps Members in the area.
He further pointed out that the council was also providing befitting accommodation for Corps Members and pay stipends to them irrespective of where they are working in the local government area.
In attendance at the event were the State Coordinator of NYSC, Chairman, Batagarawa LGA, the Village Head of Dandagoro Community Alh Muttaka Magaji, Corps Doctors, members of Dandagoro Community and the press.
