The awards ceremony at the Government House on Monday saw four high-performing officials receive brand-new luxury vehicles, while ten others were granted two million naira each.

The recognition cut across various cadres, from senior officials to junior staff, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to acknowledging merit at all levels.

Notable recipients included Isuhu Ahmed and Sada Rabe, both grade level 04 employees from local governments, who each received two million naira. Bashir Aliyu, a grade level 04 staff from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, and Lawal Halliru, a grade level 16 officer from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, were among those awarded new cars.

Governor Radda, while handing over the keys and dummy cheque to be recipients, he emphasized that these awards aim to foster a culture of dedication and excellence within the civil service. “This initiative is designed to motivate our workforce and recognize those who go above and beyond in their duties,” he stated. “We will continue to reward commitment and transparency among our staff.”

According to Pantanmi, the trust started from the head of household to our leaders whose responsibilities include protecting the right of those under their care and guard them against anything that could harm them. “Transparency and accountability formed part of trust expected of all heads of family and institutions,” he added.

His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, also graced the occasion, calling for unity and mutual support among citizens to foster growth and development in the state.

According to Governor Radda’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, the pioneering initiative by the Katsina State Government sets a new standard for recognizing and rewarding excellence in the Nigerian civil service.
