Katsina police command honours families of fallen heroes with cash gift

The Katsina state police command has honoured families of operatives of the command who died while combating bandits with cash gifts.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration (DC Admin), DCP Aminu Usman Gusau, presented the cash gift to the families of deceased police officers on  behalf of the Commissioner of Police Command, Aliyu Abubakar Musa.

The command spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu confirmed the development in a statement. 

According to him, ” the  heartfelt gesture, awarded by the Katsina State Government, aims to support and honor the sacrifices of these brave police officers.”

The event, held at the Police Command Headquarters, saw in attendance officers of the command and family members of the fallen heroes, where seven (7) families of deceased police officers were presented with a cash gift worth five hundred thousand naira (#500,000.00) each as a token of appreciation for the ultimate sacrifice made by our fallen colleagues.

DCP Aminu Gusau, while praying for the repose of the souls of the deceased officers, stated that the command stands in solidarity with their families.

He added that the command also acknowledged the selfless service rendered by the late officers.

He also appreciated the Malam Dikko Radda,  led administration in the state  for the gesture, adding that it demonstrates its commitment to the welfare of families of officers who paid the supreme price in the ongoing fight against kidnapping and banditry in the state.
