The Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has welcomed former President Olusegun Obasanjo to the State to offer condolences following the passing of Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, mother of former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
Governor Radda, accompanied by Murtala Shehu Yar’adua, grandson of the deceased and former Minister of State for Defense, as well as Inuwa Baba, former Chief of Protocol to President Obasanjo, received the distinguished visitor at the airport.
The delegation promptly proceeded to the Yar’adua family residence and was received by Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, representing Katsina Zone and a renowned business tycoon Dahiru Barau Mangal.
During his visit, Chief Obasanjo fondly remembered Hajiya Dada Yar’adua as a caring mother, praising her hospitality and kindness and offered prayers for the departed soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings.
Governor Radda expressed his gratitude to former President Obasanjo for his visit.
