Radda makes headway in official visit to China to develop Katsina – Chief Press Secretary

Katsina state Governor, Dikko Radda’s current official visit has begun to make headway in the efforts to develop the state. 

The Governor’s  Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday. 

Mohammed explained “His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s delegation continues to make significant strides in its working visit to China, as the state seeks to attract strategic investments and partnerships to drive its development agenda, *Building Your Future*.

“On the third day of the visit, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with the Shandong Min Sheng Group, exploring opportunities in soybean and sesame export, leveraging the Funtua Dry Port, and potential mining ventures.

 “A Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be signed on September 5, 2024, as both parties commit to collaborating closely on these initiatives.

“The team also visited leading companies in the agricultural machinery and technology sector, including Shandong H.T-BAUER, Guitai Group, YIJIA Machinery, and LOVOL.

“These engagements aimed to identify potential partnerships to modernize Katsina State’s agriculture through mechanization, irrigation, and the adoption of advanced farming technologies.

“In line with the state’s commitment to sustainable development, Governor Radda’s delegation explored collaborations with solar panel, power tiller, and solar water pump manufacturers.

 “These partnerships will contribute to boosting agricultural productivity, reducing drudgery for farmers, and improving overall livelihoods.

“The Katsina State Government remains optimistic about the potential of these partnerships to transform the state’s economy and enhance the wellbeing of its citizens.”
