Katsina State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mercy Corps and National Youth Council of Nigeria, Katsina State Chapter, have organized a Conference as part of the International Youth Day.
The Conference which was held at the conference Hall of Local Government Service Commission featured various Youth organization from across the thirty four Local Government Areas of the State.
Speaking at the occasion, the State Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Alhaji Aliyu Lawal Zakari represented by the Director Youths Development, Alhaji Sani Yahaya said the state government is Committed toward the development of youths in the state.
The Commissioner used the event to felicitate with all the youth across the state on the International Youth Day, and thank the organizers for the event.
Earlier the Program Manager Mercy Corps, Mr. Philip Ekita, explained that every society is proud of its youths urging the participant to be agents of progress and development of the state and the country at large.
During the conference various papers were presented by Associate Proffessor Muktar Alkasim, Dr. Bala Abdullahi Hussain and Comrade Abba Sada.
In a vote of thanks, the state Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN Katsina State Chapter, Comrade Shamsuddeen Ibrahim Shamoo, expressed delight over the maturity exhibited by the participants, urged them to continue giving their support for the development of the state and the country as a whole.
