Katsina state Acting Governor, Faruk Jobe has directed the lifting of the state -wide curfew.
The curfew was imposed during the nation-wide hunger protest by Nigerians.
The Acting Governor said the curfew be lifted in view of the reports of prevailing peace and harmony all over Katsina state.
The Secretary to the Government of the state, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari disclosed in a statement by his Director of Press, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua that, the acting Governor’s order for lifting of the curfew was to enable people go about their normal businesses unhindered.
However, he said people were implored to report any suspicious movement by individual or group of people to relevant authorities.
The Acting Governor reiterated the commitment of Governor Dikko Radda- led administration towards curtailing the security challenges in the state.
He also appreciated the security agencies and people of the state for their support and understanding.
He appealed for more support, cooperation and prayers for peace to reign in the state as no meaningful development could be achieved in an atmosphere of insecurity.
