Niger state Government is to interface with the Federal Government to address the challenges facing the state and Nigeria especially as it affect the recent nationwide EndBadGovernance protest.
This is with a view to enable the State Government convey the concerns and aspirations of its people to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for possible action because their voices matters a lot to them.
State Acting Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba stated this in Minna in his broadcast to the people of Niger state.
Comrade Yakubu Garba thanked the people of the state especially stakeholders for keeping to their promise of not to partake in the nationwide protest which was reached during their townhall meeting in Minna the state capital chaired by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
He however maintained that dialogue and understanding are the cornerstone of resolving conflicts as well as advancing and fastracking the development of Niger state towards achieving an enviable height.
Comrade Yakubu Garba explained that Niger state Government is deeply commitment to the welfare and well- being of its people which he said was the reason why it has approved the selling of grains at fifty percent discount across twenty five Local Government Areas and that will soon roll out initiative that would deliver more impactful outcome.
He however appealed to Nigerlites to continue to show understanding and maintain faith with current administration in its genuine efforts to adopt innovative approaches to governance and welcomed constructive criticism to enhance speedy development of the state.
The Niger State Acting Governor also commended Commissioner of Police incharge of Niger state, Securities Agencies , Vigilante and the Media for exhibiting high level of professionalism during the recent protest in Niger state and called for more to succeed.
