The Katsina State Police Command has announced the relaxation of the 24-hour curfew in Dutsinma LGA to 12 hours by the Katsina State Government, effective immediately.
The curfew will now be in place from 7pm to 7am, aligning with the rest of the state.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu confirmed the development.
The statement added” This relaxation is a testament to the improved security situation and the cooperation of the good people of Dutsinma.
“We therefore call on the good people of Katsina State to continue to support the Command in collaboration with other security agencies in the state in its efforts to maintain public peace and security.
“The curfew is aimed at safeguarding the lives and properties of the good people of the state, and we urge everyone to continue to comply with this order.
” Also, we appeal to the members of the public to be vigilant and responsible in sharing information. Avoid sharing unconfirmed reports and misinformation, as they can cause unnecessary panic, harm, and danger to the society. The spread of false information can undermine the efforts of security agencies and put lives at risk.
“Furthermore, we call on parents to caution their children and wards to remain law-abiding and avoid engaging in any activities that may compromise their safety or the safety of others”.
