The Katsina State Acting Governor Malam Farooq Lawal says God has blessed the state with illustrious sons and daughters that contributed towards the development of the country.
Malam Farooq Lawal stated this during a Thanks Giving Yaumish Shukur Day for Allah’s Blessings and Bounties to the state held at the People’s Square Muhammad Buhari House Katsina State.
The Acting Governor spoke in details on the contributions of the state indigenes for the development of the nation and international in various aspects.
He commended traditional and religious leaders as well as civil society organizations for enlightening the public on the importance of peace among the society.
According to him some youths planned to organise national protest considering the hardship faced by the masses but the enlightenment yielded positive response not to participate in the ongoing protest.
Earlier the Chairman Organizing Committee Khadi Ahmed Muhammad said this is the fourth Yaumush Shukur organised by the state government in order to expressed delight to Almighty for the blessings and Bounties to the state.
During the event various Islamic scholars prayed to Almighty for what He has done to the state.
