Radda announces composition of parastatals’ boards, effects minor cabinet reshuffle

Katsina State Government has announced the composition of the boards of its various parastatals. 

The appointments are part of Governor Dikko Radda’s efforts to strengthen governance and ensure effective service delivery to the people of the state.

A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, said the  boards are composed of experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds, who have been carefully selected based on their competence, experience and commitment to public service. 

The Governor expressed the hope that the new board members will bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the parastatals and help to achieve the state development goals.

According to the statement, the  composition of the boards are as follows:

In a similar development, Governor Radda has also announced a minor reshuffle of the State Executive Council. 

His Chief Press Secretary explained that the strategic reorganization aims to optimize the performance of the state government and ensure the effective delivery of services to the people of Katsina State.

 His statement on the rehuffle revealed the following:

Dr. Bashir Gambo Saulawa moves from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Water Resources.

Hajiya Hadiza Yar’Adua transfers from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Women Affairs.

Hajiya Zainab M. Musawa shifts from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Education.

Hon. Hamza Suleiman Faskari moves from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Environment.

 Alhaji Isa Muhammad Musa transfers from the Ministry of Special Duties to the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education.

 Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu Jirdede shifts from the Ministry of Rural and Social Development to the Ministry of Special Duties.

Prof. Abdulhamid Ahmed Mani moves from the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education to the Ministry of Rural and Social Development.

Hon. Musa Adams Funtua transfers from the Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Health.

The Governor also reportedly directed that all affected commissioners should hand over their current responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective ministries with immediate effect. 

They were also directed to assume their new roles without delay to ensure continuity in government operations.

The statement also revealed that  the commissioners who retained their portfolio are:

 Prof. Ahmed Mohammed Bakori Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. 

Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabai (Ministry of Religious Affairs).

 Prof. Badamasi Lawal (Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs).

 Dr. Nasir Mu’azu Danmusa (Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs).

Mallam Balla M. Salisu Zango (Ministry of Information and Culture).

 Hon. Aliyu Lawal Zakaria (Youth and Sports Development).

 Hon. Bishir  Tanimu Gambo (Ministry of Finance).

 Barr. Fadila Muhammed Dikko (Justice and Attorney General).

 Dr. Dani Magaji Ingawa (Works, Housing and Transport).

The statement  stressed that the reshuffle is part of Governor Radda’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance, improve service delivery, and meet the evolving needs of the people of Katsina State.

The Governor expressed confidence that the reshuffle will bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to the affected ministries.
