The Katsina State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has commended the state’s favourite team, Katsina United FC, for their successful performance in the recently finished NPFL season 2023/2024.
The Association Chairman, Nasir Sani Gide, congratulated the players and officials of Katsina United Football Club on a successful season in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The sports journalists praised the state’s sports-loving governor, Mal Dikko Umar Radda PhD, and the management of Katsina United FC, led by Kabir Dan’lami Rimi, for ensuring that the Chanji Boys maintained their position in the recently finished league.
Similarly, the Association praised the efforts and devotion of state Sports Commissioner Aliyu Lawal Shargalle in guiding the team to victory.
They also thank the Club’s supporters for their passion throughout the season, as well as all of the stakeholders who worked diligently to secure the success of the state’s favorite team.
However, the Association urged Club management to begin early preparations for the forthcoming season in order for the club to be successful.
Katsina United FC finishes the 2023/24 season seventh in the NPFL standings with 55 points.
