Renowned Canadian singer Celine Dion has declared her determination to perform live again, despite her ongoing battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.
In an interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show, Dion, 56, expressed her unwavering commitment to music and performance, stating, “I’m going to go back on stage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will.”
Dion has been privately battling this rare neurological disorder for 17 years, experiencing symptoms since 2008.
Stiff Person Syndrome causes muscle stiffness, spasms, and frequent cramps, with Dion describing it as feeling “like being strangled.”
Despite her health challenges, she remains one of the most successful artists in the industry, having sold over 250 million albums.
Her determination to overcome this condition and return to the stage highlights her passion for music and performance.
Although she cancelled her 2023 and 2024 tours due to her condition, Dion’s resolve to perform again is a testament to her enduring spirit and dedication to her craft.
