The wife of Katsina state Governor, Hajiya Zulaihatu Dikko Radda has reaffirmed her commitment in protecting the right of the children and investing in their future.
The Governor’s wife gave the assurance during this year’s 2024 children’s day celebration with theme ‘investing in our children means investing in the future’ held at the banquet hall of government house Katsina.
She said the primary objective for this year’s celebration is to emphasised the importance of investing in the wellbeing, education and overall development of the children.
Hajiya Zulaihatu Dikko Radda, called on parents, caregivers and community leaders to invest on our children to ensure that they have access to quality education, health care and safe environment.
Earlier in her speech the speaker Katsina state children’s parliament Fadila Sani, commended the efforts of parents, Teachers and government for inculcating good morals in them so that they can grow up to be responsible citizens.
During the event some children from various schools received token from the first lady for their outstanding performance.
They include Usman Tasiu who came 1st upper position from Garba Kaita primary school received a cheque of 100 thousand naira, Shahid Aliyu 1st lower position from Gobarau Academy Katsina received 100 thousand naira, Genius Adams from St. Martins 2nd upper position 50 thousand naira, Khadijah Mustapha from Talented stars Daura 2nd lower also received 50 thousand naira.
Others are Ovie Godwin from Unique learning 3rd position upper received 25 thousand naira and chimdahu Jason 25 thousand naira lower position also from Unique learning Katsina.
